Jiang Daya (played by Zhang Fengyi), a villager in Lanqiaobu Town in the concave and convex mountainous area, was bombed by the Japanese army on his way to welcome his bride. Only four of him, the bride Han Chunyun (played by Li Lin), fellow villagers Chen Mohan (played by Sun Song) and Zhu Yudao (played by Lin Yongjian) escaped by chance.
