A grand opening ceremony was held at 11 a.m. on November 9, 2013 at the Sutra Pavilion in the Dazhi Temple Scenic Area of Hengdian Film and Television City. The main creators and starring actors of the play began the official filming after the opening ceremony. At the start-up scene, Guo Degang appeared in a trendy style, and a pair of large leather shoes particularly stole the spotlight. When talking about his first appearance in the TV series version of Jigong, Guo Degang was very happy. After talking about many crosstalks about Jigong, he was finally able to start filming a Jigong series starring himself. The drama is expected to be filmed in Hengdian for about three months.
