Overview
Alexander Verdoodt (Herman Verbruggen) – with dt – is not a very bright boy. He is quite clumsy and that is also the biggest reason why he cannot find work. He often goes for a job for a job, but during the trial period at work he is often fired because he breaks something, even entire household items cannot escape. He married Betty Delange (Mieke Laureys) at a young age and they live together in the house of his mother-in-law Irene Delange (Magda Cnudde), who is often bothered because of his clumsiness. She now lives in an apartment, she lived with them for one day and then had a nervous breakdown. She has a history with neighbor Vandeplas (Herman Verbeeck), a retired head teacher and stock market specialist, who likes peace, order and regularity. Things don't really click between him and Alexander.
