Overview
In 1916, English intelligence officer and member of the Order of the Illuminati Oswald Rainer kills Russian professor Alexander Nevelsky and obtains priceless records about his development of the Elixir of Faust, which grants immortality. In 1983, in the Soviet Union, chemist Andrei Nevelsky learns from his dying father about the drug that his grandfather invented, thereby becoming a participant in a dangerous game. At the same time, the hereditary alchemist Andrei, his new friend Mark Terentyev, who is Rainer’s illegitimate son, as well as KGB officers who want to get a cure for the terminally ill General Secretary Andropov, begin hunting for the elixir.
