Greg Davies and his sidekick Alex Horne pit former Taskmaster series winners against each other in the ultimate test: who's the worthiest of them all?

In the first of the two Champion of Champions specials we find out each competitor's most genuinely embarrassing items, see them make some major choices and witness several potential miracles - all to appease their hypercritical Taskmaster.

Before we see one of the five competitive comedians collect the number one trophy in the world, they have to complete their final few tasks for Taskmaster Greg Davies. This includes making a mask which both looks AND tastes great, making a mess and clearing it up and finding out, by using any number of methods, just what is in the briefcase.

Returning to the scene of the greatest triumph of their lives to try and become the next Champion of Champions, Greg's expectations will be sky high as he watches previous Taskmaster Champions Ed Gamble destroy a bath toy, Kerry Godliman rolling a bobbin, Liza Tarbuck avoiding low-flying bananas, Lou Sanders painting on skates and Richard Herring revealing his bare feet.Who will emerge as the ultimate victor and bask in the glory of the greatest triumph in television?

Former champs Dara Ó Briain, Morgana Robinson, Sarah Kendall and Sophie Duker - and former runner-up Kiell Smith-Bynoe - battle for Greg Davies' buff body forged in gold.
There are now 20 Taskmaster Champions swanning around, revelling in the prestige of owning the coveted golden trophy that looks a tiny bit like the Taskmaster, Greg Davies. Only three of those winners can also claim to be Champion of Champions - but now a fourth name will be added to that elite list, as the five most recent series victors collide in this epic one-off battle to see who's best at poetic rodeo, bigging themselves up and just generally being brilliant. The five former champs who are greedy for more glory are Andy Zaltzman, John Robins, Maisie Adam, Mathew Baynton and Sam Campbell, and they've all made startling costume choices for their tilt at immortality. The fiendish tasks they attempt are, of course, administrated by the world's most efficient assistant, Alex Horne, while Greg hands down judgements that will decide the fate of this fantastic fivesome.
