A singular and quirky forensic doctor, Alexandra Ehle restores to the dead their physical, but also "human" integrity, by restoring justice.

A couple walks on the Chaban-Delmas bridge, in Bordeaux. He is a renowned neurologist, and his wife is a stay-at-home mother. But the doctor does not seem in his normal state that day. Suddenly, he affirms that he is going to fly away and rushes into the void, under the eyes of his horrified wife. Dementia crisis? suicide? An autopsy is requested to elucidate this mystery.

A woman's body is found in the marshes of Bruges, not far from Bordeaux. The victim was hit in the head, but there is nothing to identify him. Alexandra Ehle had the body repatriated to the forensic institute in order to proceed with its examination. On the autopsy table, the young woman opens her eyes: she is alive.

The body of a woman in her fifties is found in the forest. She was strangled. At the autopsy, Alex discovers a musculature incompatible with the age of the victim. Through the study of this woman's body, she will immerse herself in a puzzle as only she can decipher: multiple and old fractures, rough scars, athlete's musculature: this body tells an unusual story that Alex will have to reconstruct by going back to the mysteries of an extraordinary childhood.

A man tattooed from head to toe is found dead in a boat on the banks of the Garonne. While Antoine digs into the family disputes surrounding the victim, Alexandra is convinced that the key to the enigma is hidden somewhere in her tattoos.
