The final, fifth part of the series Marriages of Reason culminated in the events surrounding the grand opening of the National Theater in 1881. The series was filmed in 1968 based on the first two parts of Vladimír Neff's novel pentalogy - Marriages of Reason and The Imperial Violet. Because it aroused great response from the audience, its sequel was created seventeen years later on the basis of other novels (Bad Blood and The Merry Widow). This is the seven-part series Bad Blood, which in its plot immediately follows the year 1881 and further develops the dramatic fates of several Prague families in the eighties and nineties of the previous century. Under the direction of director František Filip, we will see, as in the previous series, Jiří Vala in the character of construction entrepreneur Martin Nedobyl, Vladimír Ráž portraying the character of Jan Born, his wife Hana played by Jiřina Jirásková and other well-known characters.
