Overview
After more than twenty years of absence, the energetic Kasper unexpectedly shows up at his father's auction house. He was unpleasantly surprised, to say the least. Kasper left the country for unknown reasons at the time, but now wants to resume his life in the Netherlands - much to the dismay of his father. While a love-hate relationship develops between the two, little by little it is unraveled what happened in the family in the past and what the real reason is that Kasper once left his parental home in a hurry. Both gentlemen regularly let off steam in the Van Baaren coffee house, where the meddling couple Greetje and Tonnie van Baaren hold sway. In addition to her work in the coffee house, Greetje also does housework at Arend.
