For over 900 years, Trinity has been an elite playground solely for the uber rich and powerful. However for the first time in its long and illustrious history, Trinity is about to throw open its doors to students from, well, the lower social classes.

A new term means a new intake, and for the first time the doors of Trinity are thrown open to less privileged students, including Charlotte Arc, whose professor father is found dead shortly before term begins.

When Ross Bonham displays worryingly violent tendencies, he risks expulsion and sets Theo up against Professor Maltravers. Meanwhile, Angus and Raj get involved in Dorian's prank on the college statue.

After Ross's apparent suicide, Charlotte is determined to uncover the truth behind his death. Meanwhile, Maltravers continues searching for the missing hourglass pendant, and vents his anger on Dorian, leading to a power struggle within the Dandelion Club.

It is election day for the first year representative position, and Charlotte and Rosalind go head-to-head in a bid to win over the college vote. Meanwhile, the Warden's suspicions are growing, and Lord Gaudain worries that Maltravers is losing his grip.

It is Founders Day, and Trinity alumni come back to visit the college. Much to Maltravers' disgust, among them is Hunter, the richest man in the world. And Maddy receives an unwelcome visit from her boyfriend.

Jonty becomes suspicious about his boyfriend Ross's death - was it suicide or murder? Professor Maltravers offers him a deal, which he refuses - with dark consequences.

Rosalind resigns her position as student rep, and Charlotte decides to try to abolish the Dandelion Club secret society. Meanwhile, The Project sends an envoy to check up on Professor Maltravers.

Lord Gaudain returns to Trinity to steady the ship, and finds Maltravers spiralling out of control. Charlotte is held at Dorian's pleasure, while Dr Cooper feels the strain.
