At the wheel of a motorhome, the "Calypso", Bruno Nogueira and Gonçalo Waddington will travel the length and breadth of Portugal on a journey that will unfold in unusual ways: "Odisseia" is a story told in two intersected narratives. At first, Bruno Nogueira and Gonçalo Waddington, two friends who go on a journey by motorhome in Portugal. Both feel the need to move away from their family and professional lives and think of a solution to their personal dramas. In the second story, told as a making-of fiction, there are the writers of the series itself, Bruno Nogueira and Gonçalo Waddington and a third element, Tiago Guedes, director..

Gonçalo receives a message on his cell phone and goes to the hospital to pick up Bruno. After taking him home, he stays with Bruno because the doctor advised him not to be alone. Bruno and Gonçalo spend the next few days together, ending up at Bruno's grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary party.

Bruno and Gonçalo say goodbye to their families because Bruno has a show outside of Lisbon and Gonçalo takes him in his motorhome. Without patience for the show's audience, Bruno ends up insulting them. Nuno Lopes is in the middle of the audience and encourages the public to expel Bruno from the auditorium.

Gonçalo wakes up, doesn't see Bruno and looks for him. Neither of them know about Nuno. They decide to continue their journey instead of returning to Lisbon. In a restaurant they are approached by two Tunnigs, who will be mocked for being so lazy. Later, next to a magnificent view, in the interior of the country, the tunnings return to take away their peace.

Bruno and Gonçalo take Nuno to the health center after trying unsuccessfully to revive him. Without seeing the problem resolved, they leave Nuno behind and continue their journey. Someone tries to rob their motorhome: it's Rita Blanco, who turns out to be crazy. They follow her without knowing how everything will end. Rita takes them camping, and ends up making Bruno give up recording a scene.

Bruno and Gonçalo stop the motorhome and hear some murmurs. They follow the sound and find an old man who is trying to commit suicide, ending up freeing him. Gonçalo has lunch with Carla and the children, in a meeting arranged secretly by Bruno. Later, two hippie-chic betas offer them pills, giving them a hallucinatory trip. They end in a mini-boom with lots of kisses and Nuno Lopes in the mix.

They forcefully wake up on a houseboat, adrift in the middle of the Alqueva, still under the influence of pills. The two of them, together with Nuno and the hippie-chic betas, act out a kind of Mexican soap opera. RTP is not satisfied with the direction the episodes are taking. The producer tries to convince them to finish the series in animation. A helicopter takes them off the boat and drops them into a paradise-like field where they are welcomed by a version of António Variações.

While Nuno begins to prepare to play an unconventional role for a film, Bruno and Gonçalo argue violently about the fate of their lives, a discussion that ends up involving some members of the technical team. They finally decide to go to Lisbon, but first they free themselves from Nuno Lopes. After all their wounds have healed, the two heroes are surprised by news from RTP that prevents them from continuing their journey.

The production doesn't have the money to finish the episode, but the producer, Tiago Rodrigues, has a brilliant idea. The idea fails, leaving the entire team in an even worse situation. The episode continues, with as much "material" as possible captured by the making-of cameras, until HERMES rescues them, allowing everyone to finish the Odyssey with dignity.
