In Comedy Fight Club, more or less well-known amateur comedians compete to be named the Zulu comedian of the year. In each section they are exposed to a task or challenge, e.g. visit to a slaughterhouse or McDonald's. They then have 24 hours to write stand-up material about the visit, which they must then perform in front of an audience. In the first two seasons they are judged by Carsten Bang and the audience votes for them. In the first season, the comedian with the most votes went on to a final each time, and the next time a new contestant would join. Starting with the second season, the same six comedians were followed throughout the course.
