Talented chef Jónas, falsely imprisoned, tries to regain his family's trust. Shunned by society, he accepts illicit funds to open a restaurant, leading him to money laundering. This jeopardizes his parole, life, and loved ones.

Jónas sets up a fancy restaurant to impress his family in partnership with a criminal despite being on probation. With high-quality cuisine at the forefront and money laundering in the back room, the place's experimental evening goes to hell when a pack animal with a burst shipment arrives in the kitchen.

Jónas helps Marý make the beast disappear, but finds himself compelled to lend a helping hand to the man's daughter when she comes looking for him. She complicates Jónas's life with her past and connections to another criminal gang.

Jónas pays off Rósa's drug debt with money from Kristján. Marý tries to justify her "side business" and Jónas is forced to help her recover Kristján's money by selling drugs through the place.

As the police investigate Julia's accident, Jónas pushes his loved ones away, hoping to protect them. Kristján demands Jónas and Marý launder more money through the place, and Marý convinces Jónas to continue helping her deal without Kristján's knowledge. That could be what frees them from him.

The spark between Jónas and Katrín flares up again after Skúli goes on a crusade against Reykjavik Fusion in the name of tax. Jónas has to peacefully silence Skúli before Kristján does, but the police are also on the lookout for illegal activity in the area.

Kristján threatens Jónas and Katrína. If they don't play along, he will attack their family. Jónas and Marý plan to steal Styrmi's drug shipment to pay Kristján, and Marý refuses to pay Rósa for her silence, leading to a violent showdown. Jónas is left alone to carry out their plan.
