Overview
"The Storm in Meijialou" tells the story of Shanghai in the 1930s. Mei Guorui, the chairman of Mei's Cosmetics Company, was assassinated for resisting foreign businessmen and was shot and collapsed in bed. His grandson Mei Shaozu was headstrong and incompetent. Shaozu's sister Tian Tian returned to Meijialou from abroad and resolutely took up the position of chairman of the family business Mei's Cosmetics Company. Mei Shaozu was jealous from then on, and colluded with the foreign French company Leman, waiting for an opportunity to seize the chairmanship. Meijialou experienced numerous ups and downs amidst many internal and external conflicts, but finally regained its glory with Fan Muye's development of high-quality perfume, dealing a heavy blow to the ambition of foreign capital to crush China's national industry. Makino and Tian Tian also developed true love through their common struggle, and a fake couple finally became real partners.
