Among the three siblings of the famous Ming family in Shanghai during the Anti-Japanese War, the younger brother Mingtai was an agent of the military reunification, codenamed "Poisonous Scorpion"; the eldest brother Minglou appeared to be an important member of the Wang puppet government and an agent of the military reunification, with a complicated identity; the eldest sister Mingjing was a red capitalist who secretly funded the underground party of the Communist Party of China. The two developed feelings during the battle, and by chance, they met on a blind date arranged by the family and got engaged. Mingtai gradually became disillusioned with the selfishness of the Kuomintang in one operation after another. Cheng Jinyun developed him into an underground party of the Chinese Communist Party, and Mingtai officially carried out activities as a double agent. In the "Knell Ringing" operation, Yu Manli died and Mingtai suffered torture. In the end, the Ming brothers teamed up to get rid of the Japanese spies.
