Overview
In the play, Qingshu experienced four relationships and three marriages. The first marriage was naturally to Qingshu's favorite man, but he sacrificed his life to protect Populus euphratica; the second marriage was purely an act of revenge, because she suspected that the other party was her husband-killing enemy, so she investigated the case personally. After the truth came to light, her behavior deeply hurt the man who loved her deeply, and she left sadly on the day of the wedding; the third time she married a young boy for her mother, and transitioned from brother to husband. Qingshu constantly interrogated whether there was a seed of love in his heart, and in the end the two still failed to get married.
