Overview
Wei Haifeng (played by Pu Cunxin), who is nearly middle-aged, is the director of the office of the Department of Transportation of a certain province. He, his wife Tao Aihua (played by Liang Danni), and their children originally lived an ordinary and peaceful life, but an accident changed everything for him. While accompanying the deputy director on an investigation and inspection, a sudden car accident claimed the life of the deputy director. Wei Haifeng and his old classmate Zhao Tongda (played by Yu Hewei), who was the director of the Infrastructure Department, became the main candidates to take over as deputy director.
