Overview
Linda and Alexandre have been having a failed marriage for years, which comes to an end when she discovers her husband's affair with Tide, preferring to file for divorce and be declared divorced – something unusual for the time – rather than live in unhappiness, shocking her four children: Moacir, Lene, Marcos and Lu. Moacir lives a troubled romance with Glória, a rich girl and daughter of deputy Agenor Venturini and socialite Estela, who want her to marry the traditionalist Toninho. Lene is in love with her cousin Cícero, but her aunt Joana is against it. Marcos has a platonic passion for the starlet Fátima, a friend of Roberta, the deputy's lover. Teenager Lu, on the other hand, suffers humiliation from Cássia at school. The problems begin when Linda begins a new love affair with the recently divorced Cláudio, whose ex-wife Leonor does not accept the end and starts to make him miserable and manipulate him through their young son Claudinho. Furthermore, the ambitious Tide is also interested in Moacir.
