Overview
An ordinary story is the story of Michele La Torre, an elderly man who, having been released after 30 years in prison for the murder of his wife (which he did not commit), goes in search of his two children, Sara and Sandro, who were entrusted to another family after his arrest. They were still very young, but while Sara grows up knowing that she was adopted, Sandro learns the truth from his adoptive father only while he is on the verge of death and he, married, already has a son. In his search, Michele gets help from a lawyer with financial problems who he met by chance, Mirko Mancini, who offers him hospitality. Thanks to Mirko's investigations, he tracks down his children and pretends to be a gardener in order to be in contact with them and get to know them better. He thus discovers that Sandro and Beatrice's marriage is in crisis, but at the same time he manages to endear himself to the family and his little nephew Matteo, as well as to Sara.
