Overview
Zhao Ling, Li Nan, and Yang Yang were born on the same farm. At the age of 6, Yang Yang became the lucky one among the three girls because of a coin. Zhao's parents took Yang Yang on a trip. Unforeseen circumstances occur, Zhao's parents are killed, and Yang Yang's life or death is unknown. Li's father and Yang's mother died trying to save Zhao Ling, and the three families were broken up. Zhao Ling was adopted by Yang's father. When she was 18 years old, Yang's father decided to let her take the college entrance examination in Beijing instead of Yang Yang. Zhao Ling became Yang Yang in the household registration book. However, because of Li Nan's mother's selfishness, the Beijing household registration that should have belonged to Zhao Ling was changed to Li Nan. From then on, the fate of the three people was completely different.
