Xiaoyue, a museum exhibit administrator, meets the maid Yaoyao and constable Mr. Qin from the Western Han Dynasty due to an accident. Yaoyao and Wang Xiao, Xiaoyue's mother, are swapped due to mysterious forces. Wang Xiao is taken back to the Western Han Dynasty while Yaoyao stays in the modern world. Xiaoyue and Yaoyao strive to find a way to travel through time and finally uncover the secrets of Lady Xin Zhui and Li Xi.
