[26]. It is directed by Hu Yijuan and Pan Lei, with Liu Jian as the screenwriter, and starring Liu Xiaoqing, June, Tian Li, Huo Zhengyan, and Xu Guang. The play tells the story of the love, hate and resentment of the Tong family during the Republic of China. It reflects the story of women in the old days who were shackled by the feudal ideology of men being superior to women and polygamy, and were not allowed to complain about their sufferings. The drama premiered on the Shanghai TV Drama Channel on January 17, 2008.
