Overview
In the story of this play, Liu Qizhen (played by Ma Yashu) owes a huge sum of money because of being framed. Zhao Anhua (played by Liu Kaiwei) marries the Xue family in order to raise money; Qizhen also marries the down-and-out Fu Zhenjia (played by Tse Zuwu); later Qizhen loves his son. Her son (played by Wu Lei) was injured in an accident and needed a lot of money for medical treatment. In desperation, Zhenjia spent all her belongings trying to make money through gambling to treat her son's illness, but lost everything; Anhua learned that she wanted to help her, but Qizhen vowed to raise her son on her own.
