Overview
Against the background of the anti-Japanese wave that surged across the country after the September 18th Incident, a group of patriots from the Shanghai Bund Labor Association were dissatisfied with the Chiang Kai-shek government's non-resistance policy. They took up guns to fight against Japanese spies, and fought a decisive battle with the Japanese army in the "September 28th" Battle of Songhu. After the test of blood and fire, some of the brothers continued to fight, while others fell in love with the secret service organization of Chiang Kai-shek's government and became the chief secret agents.
