Ángela leads a seemingly idyllic life from the outside: she has two fantastic children, a charming husband and a spectacular house. However, this facade is a fraud and it costs more and more effort to maintain it. Angela is actually a woman abused by an obsessive husband who has convinced her that without him she would be nothing. Until one day Edu appears, an attractive young man who reveals surprising secrets to her and who is willing to help her by eliminating him from her life.

Ángela has a comfortable life with her perfect family: two charming daughters and a charming husband, Gonzalo, a successful architect. Beneath this facade, Angela hides a hell of abuse at the hands of her husband. Angela's fragile balance is finally shattered when she meets Eduardo Silva, an old school friend she doesn't remember but to whom she is immediately attracted.

Ángela discovers that Gonzalo is linked to the disappearance of one of her coworkers. More and more evidence points to the fact that Gonzalo did indeed kill her.

Ángela flees with Edu's help, taking her children with her. But her escape is cut short when Gonzalo appears and kills Edu. Trying to defend herself, Angela puts her children in danger... and is arrested. Angela confesses what happened to the police, but the officers reveal that it was all a figment of her imagination: Eduardo Silva does not exist. Well, yes, but it's not who she thinks, but a crime novelist. And one of them tells, curiously, the same story that she is telling.

Ángela is admitted to a psychiatric hospital. Unable to get close to her children, she doubts whether what she experienced was real or a fantasy. Until she discovers that Edu is real.

With the help of her best friend, Esther, Ángela discovers Edu's true identity: Rober, a hustler who accepted Gonzalo's proposal in exchange for a license to open his bar. It was all the work of a Machiavellian plan by Gonzalo, but he can't prove it.

Ángela decides to take revenge, even if it could cost her her life. A plan that unmasks Gonzalo in front of those around him, showing him as what he really is: an abuser and a psychopath. Ángela, at last, gets her children and her life back.
