Overview
Marie Rose, the baker's daughter who went out without her hat, is bedridden. Victim of sunstroke and feverish, the young woman wanders. Like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, she imagines in her delirium that the inhabitants of her village are being persecuted by a witch. Transformed into a sugar doll herself, she manages to regain her human form. With her friends the oak tree, the clock and the elephant Babar, she tries to thwart the plans of the evil Pirana.
