During the Russian Revolution of 1917, Braque's valuable jewel mysteriously disappeared. In 2004, the Yakuza, a transnational criminal organization, sought out Circe Cipriates to find out about the jewelry theft and force her to perform a facial transplant on Takashi Mifune, leader of the Japanese mafia. After learning the facts, she flees to Brazil and then suffers a very serious accident with her sister Lia. The sister asks the surgeon Lucas to perform a transplant on Circe, so that she will not be persecuted. After waking up, Lucas realizes that Circe has amnesia and decides to call her Lia to ensure protection. Circe will have to live with her sister's identity and face and thus deceive everyone she loves. The Japanese mafia will continue looking for the jewel, which disappears in the accident and ends up in the hands of several people, generating a tireless search by the mafia.
