Overview
"Sisters in the Smoke" is based on Xiangxi in the 1920s and 1930s, and provides a panoramic display of the unique ethnic cultures of the local Miao, Dong, and Tujia people. It is directed by outstanding domestic young director Sun Xiaoguang and stars well-known actors such as Lian Yiming, Yang Ruoxi, and Wang Ke. The plot begins with the Red Army female soldier Liu Shuang'er being chased by white bandits and her chance encounter with Orion's daughter Zhen Meizi. The two young girls become sworn brothers in the baptism of war and compose a tragic war song with their blood and wisdom.
