Overview
The story takes place during the Republic of China. Peishan (played by Guo Zhenni) is the child bride of the Hong family. She came to the Hong family at a young age and lived a life of dependence on others. She suffered all the looks and bullying from others. The only person who is good to her is Zhengang (played by Chen Guanlin), the adopted son of the Hong family. The two lonely hearts gradually get closer to each other and warm each other, and then develop sincere feelings. However, according to regulations, Peishan must marry Jiabao as his wife. The stubborn Peishan would rather lie that she was pregnant than become the wife of a man she does not love. The angry Mrs. Hong wanted to execute Peishan according to family law, so she was forced to step forward and take Peishan on the elopement journey. Peiqi (played by Fu Xinyin), who has always been secretly in love with Zhenggang, is very sad about this. An accident caused rumors about Peggy to spread in the city, and Peggy suddenly became a hot potato. The kind-hearted Wang Kaicheng (played by He Gang) agreed to marry Peiqi.
