Overview
In old age, people cannot enjoy even a day of happiness. There are always annoying and trivial things of one kind or another, which make the old people who have worked hard for most of their lives use up their last bit of effort. Old lady Guo Baoyin (played by Siqin Gaowa) sends away her husband Qiao Shoucheng. Before leaving, his wife made a will, leaving the two courtyards of the old house to Mrs. Guo's biological son Shuguang (played by Xia Fan). The other two children from her ex-wife, Sichen (played by Niu Li) and Siyu (played by Si Kehua), have no share at all. In order to protect the family relationship between her children, Mrs. Guo was reluctant to announce her will, but she could not prevent her relatives from fighting over the property and falling apart. Sichen invited his aunt Qiao Yufeng, who loved him the most, to help out, while Shuguang refused to give in under the encouragement of his wife. Siyu has his share of difficulties. To add fuel to the fire, his brother-in-law Qiao Shouxin (played by Liu Jinshan), who has always been idle, also joined the battle for real estate. For real estate, family ties are no longer important, as if only money is real...
