Overview
At a boarding school, Karen is poorly treated and constantly humiliated by the wicked director Vivian for her haughtiness and good humor and, at one point, ends up dying of pneumonia after being left in the rain. Worried that someone outside the boarding school will find out, Vivian puts her niece, Francis, in her place and coerces the staff and other students not to tell the truth, but the real Karen continues to appear as a spirit in search of the truth.
