Overview
A fire caused translator Leping (played by Jia Jingwen) to lose her place to live. According to the landlord's arrangement, she moved next door to the violinist Shi Tao (played by Lu Yi). A man and a woman alone, one is accustomed to walking to the left when going out, and the other is accustomed to walking to the right. Such a coincidence makes the two unaware of each other's existence. By chance, Leping and Shitao met in front of the fountain. They had a very happy conversation and left each other's phone numbers. Unfortunately, the phone they were looking forward to never rang. As fate would have it, the two people who had originally decided to leave in despair reunited in front of the fountain. Nothing in the world could shake their determination to be together. At this juncture, Shi Tao unfortunately encountered a car accident and lost his hearing, which musicians rely on for survival. In despair, Shitao disappeared into Leping's world, and Leping began to search and wait aimlessly. She never thought that the lover she longed for was actually by her side all the time.
