Overview
Kyoko Aoba (Yuko Natori), a popular mystery writer, and Misae Wada (Yoko Yamamoto), a veteran editor, visit Hida Takayama in Gifu Prefecture, where their debut novel was set. When he heads to the shop to meet his acquaintances Yamase (Taro Kawano), a painter, and Kishimoto (Toshikazu Fukawa), a woodturner, Yamase is the only one there, and Kishimoto says he disappeared a year ago. When I asked him why, Yamase kept saying, "I don't know," and his mouth was heavy. Kyoko learns from Kishimoto's younger sister, Akiko (Sachiko Kokubun) that Yamase and Kishimoto have been arguing over money issues.
