Overview
The gypsy Renzo falls madly in love with Dolores, a girl who has an unhappy and difficult family situation. After the death of her mother, Dolores is left alone in the company of her nurse and her brother Humberto, a man of weak character. Renzo's passion is reciprocated by Dolores but the future of the lovers is hindered by an evil being called Rodolfo Farnesio, a very rich and powerful man, used to getting everything he wants. Farnese literally loses his head over the beautiful Dolores and begins to court her to become his wife.
