"Snowy Sky Road" is a 38-episode TV series that comprehensively reflects the construction process of the Sky Road. It is sponsored by the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Ministry of Railways, co-produced by the Propaganda Department of the Qinghai Provincial Party Committee and the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee, and invested 30 million yuan by five institutions including the Beijing Television Art Center and Zhongshida International Media Co., Ltd. In 1953, the PLA Battalion Commander Xiao Jianfei, Xie Yuchen who had returned from overseas, and the liberated Kuomintang Major General He Wenbo met during the arduous work of building the Qinghai-Tibet Highway under the leadership of General Mu Shengzhong. He set the ambition to build the Qinghai-Tibet Railway. But they experienced a series of natural and man-made disasters, and the project was halted. In 1973, their son, together with the railway soldiers, went through untold hardships to build the Qinghai-Tibet Railway to Golmud. However, due to global problems such as plateau frozen soil and plateau hypoxia, the 60,000-strong road construction army stopped advancing under the Kunlun Mountains... Until 2001, Xiao Xiangqian and Xie Shanfeng, who had been stationed at the Fenghuoshan Permafrost Observatory at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters for more than 20 years, exchanged their lives and blood for valuable scientific research results. The third-generation project commanders Xiao Wancheng, Xie Kunlun, and He Gaoyuan succeeded each other and finally realized their thousand-year dream and built a world-class "Snowy Sky Road"...
