Overview
In early 1949, the struggle between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party reached a critical moment, and the fate of the Chinese nation was about to be rewritten at any time. In Dongjiang City, the center of the struggle between the two parties, the darkest and most tense moment before liberation ushered in. An underground party rebelled, causing our party's meeting point to be exposed to the enemy's gunfire. Liu Xiaochen (played by Zhang Lei), an underground party member lurking in the Kuomintang's undercover Secrecy Bureau, risked his exposure to turn the tide, and he became the target of surveillance by the new director Zhang Zhongnian (played by Tse Junhao). Under Zhang's auspices, the hunt for underground parties in Dongjiang City was fully launched, and the CCP's Special Section also began an operation to eliminate traitors. Liu Xiaochen has become a key piece in this bloody storm. How should he deal with the coming storm? This film is adapted from the classic anti-special film of the same name in the 1970s. The original work was adapted from Lu Zheng's novel "Fighting in the Heart of the Enemy"
