Produced by the China TV Drama Production Center and starring the well-known actor Xu Honghao, the historical biography "Warrior" will be launched on CCTV's eight prime time series in the near future. The play tells the legendary life of Han Xianchu, a proletarian revolutionary, strategist, and general of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Han Xianchu was born in a poor peasant family in Huang'an (Hong'an) County, Hubei Province. He worked as a cowherd, learned bamboo crafts, and worked as a day laborer in Wuhan. The difficult experience in his youth made him quickly accept the revolutionary idea of "the government forcing the people to rebel." In November 1927, when the Jute Uprising broke out, he joined the Farmers Association in his hometown, participated in the Anti-Imperialist Alliance, and even served as a land committee member of the township Soviet. In the days when the revolutionary movement was surging, he devoted himself to the raging revolutionary struggle with his simple class sentiments and full of passion.
