Overview
In 1956, Anqing Township, Wangcheng County, Hunan Province was holding an art performance for graduates of Huangheba Primary School. Lei Zhengxing gave a lifelike interpretation of the bullied fisherman girl. The sixth uncle and grandma in the audience also had tears in their eyes. Unconsciously, they were pulled back to the painful 1944 by the memory. Persecuted by the landlord class and the Japanese devils, when Lei Zhengxing, a Geng Ya son, was growing up, his parents and brothers were persecuted to death by the landlord Tan family and the capitalists. His mother, Lei Yisao, also committed suicide because she was bullied by the landlord, Mr. Tan. The lonely Gengyazi was not rescued until the People's Liberation Army arrived. He also determined to join the People's Liberation Army.
