Overview
During the Battle of Liaoshen, the PLA company commander Fu Zigang went straight to the enemy hospital in the city and captured alive the Kuomintang major military doctor Zheng Dazhi who was performing an operation. On the way to escort the prisoners to the headquarters, Fu Zigang suddenly suffered from acute appendicitis and rolled in pain. Zheng Dazhi performed an operation on Fu Zigang in a ruined temple and saved his life. As a result, Fu relaxed his supervision of Zheng. Unexpectedly, Zheng took the opportunity to escape and returned to Nanjing. Fu was punished for this. Two years later, Fu Zigang, who was promoted to battalion commander again, was ordered to take over a Kuomintang rear hospital that declared an uprising. Unexpectedly, the director was Zheng Dazhi. It turned out that Zheng Yin gradually realized the incompetence and corruption of the Kuomintang, refused to go to Taiwan, and decided to turn to the bright future. What is even more dramatic is that when our army established a new hospital, the two of them were sent to the hospital to take leadership positions at the same time, and became door-to-door neighbors, thus beginning their lifelong relationship. Through the life work and life experiences of the two people, the play illustrates the broad mind of our revolutionary team that embraces all corners of the world and brings together people from all directions.
