Now in the service of Richelieu, D'Artagnan leaves for Rome on a secret mission. On the way, he pulls Roger de Bussy-Rabutin and the young ladies who accompany him out of trouble. Julie and Marie are not insensitive to the hero's charm, which causes an argument between the two men. D'Artagnan, having fallen in love with the beautiful Marie de Rabutin-Chantal who, unfortunately, does not want to marry a legend, returns to battle with his faithful Planchet and finds one by one all his musketeer friends.
