Overview
On May 18, 1948, Head Zero, one of the leaders of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, was bombed by enemy planes at his temporary residence in Nanchengzhuang, Hebei Province. This was the result of a report by Kuomintang agent Ji Rihui to Secrecy Chief Mao Renfeng. Soon, Ji Rihui's classmate Peng Laifeng discovered that Head Zero and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China were in Xibaipo. Tong Hanqing, a Communist Party member who infiltrated Mao Renfeng, asked Tong Changying to go to Xibaipo to assassinate Leader Zero. Mao Renfeng is suspicious of Tong Hanqing and asks Tong Hanqing to allow his daughter Tong Changying to work in the Secrecy Bureau. Tong HanQing shattered Peng Laifeng's conspiracy. Peng Laifeng escaped. Mao Renfeng lied to Tong ChangYing that Tong HanQing was murdered by the Communist Party and sent Sun Li and her bodyguard to pick up her family. However, Ji Hihui secretly ordered someone to kill her mother and brother. Tong ChangYing looked at her father who died tragically, vowed to take revenge for his relatives, and recognized Mao Renfeng as his foster father. Not long after the founding of the People's Republic of China, Chief Zero visited the Soviet Union for the first time. The Kuomintang and the Communist Party launched repeated assassination and counter-assassination contests until March 4, 1950, when Chief Zero's special train successfully arrived in Beijing.
