Overview
Sugako Hashida depicts the "wife-in-law problem" and is a modern remake of the drama that caused a huge boom when it aired in 1976. Asaka Seto plays the role of a housewife who is tormented by her mother-in-law, Pinko Izumi plays the role of the world's most unpleasant mother-in-law who is constantly nagging her wife, and Koji Okura plays the role of the husband who is caught between his wife and mother-in-law and can't decide between them and leaves family matters to his wife. By depicting the relationship between the second son's wife, who suddenly ends up living with her mother-in-law, and the most hateful mother-in-law, who ends up living in the home of the kind second son, the film asks many questions about various families and modern society.
