Overview
Released in TV movie format, this miniseries begins when Don Rodrigo de Arista, a noble Asturian nobleman returns from America, more specifically from Peru. His economic situation is precarious and he is in ruin; Coupled with his old age, his noble heart and spirit never abandon him, and it is difficult for him to separate the gift of command from his daring character. In the film, Don Rodrigo discovers that one of his two granddaughters is an illegitimate daughter, the product of an affair between his daughter-in-law and an artist. Although he lives with his granddaughters and maintains a good relationship with them, he is intrigued by the doubt of not knowing with complete certainty which of them is not his real granddaughter and true heir to his title and house. In his desire for his daughter-in-law to tell him which of the two is authentic, he will have even more conflicts with her, since, preferring to lose his life, he will take the secret to the grave as long as he does not show that he loves both equally and without preference for that situation.
