These four friends have to deal with the problems of well-being and richness.
Flirtatious Dutch charm singer Martin Morero enjoys his success, popularity and money, and moves to the fancy Holland suburban villa area the Gooik, with his spoiled wife Cheryl Morero, who is clearly out of her depth with both their paparazzi-attracting profile and the posh neighborhood's society expectations, so she's greatly relieved when friendly neighbor Willemijn Lodewijkx takes charge of organizing the megalomaniac housewarming party.
Claire freaks out when she finds daughter Merel's adolescent friend Amir, a refugee, in the bathroom. Robert Bovenlander is prepared to help her financially as a 'private investment', so she dumps sexy waiter Max.
Now Cheryl has taken Martin back, the doctor diagnoses his slow sperm is hopeless. He forgets about that when she happily reveals she is finally pregnant, and lies to Tom.
Claire has been knocked out with a bat and left in the pool, she's in a coma. Cheryl and Willemyn promise to take care of everything, especially for daughter Merel.
Claire comes out of her coma and has a visit of a detective. Anouk makes plans for Vlinder's birthday, witch is coming soon. Martin has problems with the pregnant Tippi Wan.
Claire is released from hospital, but home is a lonely place. She pretends her daughter Merel, in fact in jail for the murder attempt, is at boarding school, and gets Willemyn to foot a 6.000 Euro monthly 'board' bill.
Now her ex Evert even makes a trip to Milan with his mistress Diana van der Kieft, housemother Willemijn decides to start living as a spoiled single, and expects her friends to help her get started, especially free spirit Anouk, who is however more interested in her daughter's new au-pair Jurriaan.
Cheryl poses for the press with baby boy Remy, then throws Martin out to Willemyn's garden shed, now that Evert has his own home.
The nonreligious Moreros decide to have Remy baptized, just for fun and publicity, but the curate drives a hard bargain to reserve the whole church for one child's media circus.
Willemyn is moody, atypically unhelpful and critical. Tipi Wan refuses to switch her day off and babysit after being assigned a new designer room as her old one is turned into a play room for little Remy.
