Overview
The play is based on real cases and tells the story of Fang Daqing, deputy director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Second Branch of the Yanzhou Municipal People's Procuratorate, and Xia Jingru, director of the Public Prosecution Division, who faced complex and difficult cases. In the process of handling cases, young prosecutors Chen Chen, Yu Yuelong, Zhou Wenwen and others led by Fang and Xia experienced real problems such as love, income, housing, etc., and withstood the hardships of life on them. While handling Zhou Xiang's murder case, Xia Jingru and Chen Chen discovered many doubts. In the end, the public prosecution released the "murderer" Li Hao, who had served 17 years in prison, while the real murderer Zhou Xiang was sentenced to death in the first instance. During the "Fox Hunting 2014" special operation, Fang, Xia and others set up a task force. They found out that Yanzhou Group Chairman Jin Mingshan was suspected of Liu Kaiming's crime. Jin Mingshan also set up obstacles for the task force at every turn. When she learned that her uncle Jin Mingshan, who treated her like her own daughter, was the leader of the case, Xia Jingru resolutely chose to bring him to justice.
