Overview
In 1942, the Japanese troops stationed in Baoding carried out a frantic raid on Tianjin and the United States, leaving rivers of blood everywhere. The Second Battalion of a certain unit of the Eighth Route Army all sacrificed their lives to cover the transfer of the main force. Only Wei Qiang, commander of the investigation company, and others survived because they escorted Wang Xia, director of the Women's Rescue Society. Wei Qiang joined the martial arts team and vowed to avenge his comrades. The armed workers team completed a series of difficult and dangerous tasks such as highway raids, rescuing captured team members, and cleverly seizing food. Wei Qiang and others recaptured the second battalion's military flag, which aroused Zinmei's fear. Liu Kuisheng and other traitors even turned against the armed workers, causing the armed workers and the villagers to suffer great losses. Wei Qiang used the intelligence to make the enemy fight dogs and cripple the night raid team. The Japanese invaders set up a biological and chemical weapons research and development base in Baoding, and the military workers pretended to be captured and entered the base. The team members escaped from prison and destroyed the base. However, district committee member Ma Ming was captured and rebelled, and Wang Xia was arrested. Wei Qiang found his superiors and cooperated with the main force of the Eighth Route Army and the Kuomintang army to launch a general attack on Baoding City three days later.
