Overview
The story takes place somewhere in the Northeast. On December 18, Secretary Zhang of the Municipal Party Committee, an insider of the Donggang Stock Case in Songjiang City, was shot dead. After collecting information, investigator Fang Yulin (played by Ren Chengwei) concluded that the case was closely related to provincial and municipal leaders. Liao Hongyu (played by Yan Shuqin), the whistleblower in the Donggang case, was introduced by Vice Mayor Zhou Mi (played by He Zhengjun) to work under Feng Xianglong (played by Cao Li) of the Jiutian Group.
