The story of "Bao Qingtian: Kaifeng Strange Case" follows "Bao Qingtian: Blue Blood Heart" and is divided into six major units: "Hongzhou's Hatred", "Golden Jade Alliance", "The Lost Baby", "Taoxiang Tower", "Duanxi Blood Inkstone" and "Three Golden Flowers", telling the story of how Bao Qingtian solved the case. The play has been characterized by a series of murders in the city recently. Bao Zheng (played by Jin Chaoqun) detective learned that the murders were committed by killers in order to plunder the bounty, and the ultimate target was Qiying (played by Cui Bo), a witness in serious cases from the Ministry of Punishments. Qi Ying, who is talented in both sex and art, was raped by Jiangnan Road envoy Zheng Ning (played by Liu Tao). Unwilling to be humiliated, her family jointly submitted a letter to the Ministry of Punishment. Zheng Ning, who was dismissed from office, denied his dirty deeds in every possible way. After hearing the news, his sister Zheng Taifei (played by She Nannan) rushed to Kaifeng to prevent Bao Zheng's execution. Since the edict has been issued, Renzong (played by Wang Hao) resolutely ordered Zheng Ning to die under the guillotine of a tiger head in order to rectify the rule of law. Bao Zheng learned about the suffering of the inkstone people in Duanzhou and went to Duanzhou to search for it. He learned that Guangnan's pacifier Zhou Wei actually carried out an inhumane massacre against the villagers of Yanshan Village in order to monopolize the precious blood inkstones, and included a group of people brought by Bao Zheng from Kaifeng Prefecture into the scope of the massacre. At a critical moment, Zhan Zhao (played by Ho Jiajin) wanted to protect Bao Zheng from Duanzhou first, but Bao Zheng could not bear the misfortune of all living beings. He led the people of Kaifeng Mansion and the villagers of Yanshan to outflank Zhou Wei, who wanted to commit treachery...
