The story of this play begins in the early days of the victory of my country's Anti-Japanese War, when the Kuomintang's Shanxi-Sui Army in northwest Shanxi was ready to move. The wolves of a certain brigade of the Eighth Route Army guarding it across the river were in constant friction with them. As the war escalated, the Wolves covered the large forces to escape from the encirclement, and then followed the 359th Brigade to fight in northern Shaanxi. On the battlefield in northern Shaanxi, the Wolves showed extraordinary combat ability and proud tactical wisdom. The leader personally awarded them the title of "Wolves of the Northwest" and asked them to bite the "King of the Northwest" Hu Zongnan on the northwest battlefield.
