Overview
The professional and personal stories of Giulia, Rita and Elena unfold around the production of the Studio Uno programme, all three of whom find themselves working for the programme, in different roles. Giulia is a secretary in the opinion service, Rita is a seamstress for stage clothes, while Elena is one of the dancers in the program. Giulia, an orphan who lives with her aunt and uncle and is engaged to Andrea, falls in love with Lorenzo, an aspiring television programmer. Rita is a single mother, a very difficult condition for the morals of the time, and would like to be a singer; rejected at the auditions for the show, she manages to get the job of seamstress thanks to the stagehand Renato, who has fallen in love with her.
