"Lockdown on the U.S. Special Envoy" is about a special mission undertaken by the New Fourth Army and the Kuomintang Army during the Anti-Japanese War. In order to rescue the Flying Tigers pilots who possess military secrets first, Zheng Dayong led the New Fourth Army to compete with the Kuomintang rescue team led by Wang Jiangyi. However, after experiencing many difficulties, the two rival forces moved from suspicion to trust, and from competition to cooperation. "Locked U.S. Special Envoy" shows an extraordinary period of time, a tragic battle, friendship under fire, and love on the line of life and death. After receiving the order to rescue the Flying Tigers pilots, company commander Zheng Dayong led the New Fourth Army rescue team to the most dangerous areas. The Kuomintang officer Wang Jiangyi also accepted the same task. However, because the rescued American soldiers possessed military secrets, Wang Jiangyi must be ahead of the New Fourth Army to successfully rescue them. At first, these two troops with special missions were suspicious of each other and competed everywhere. But facing the common enemy the Japanese invaders, their patriotism made them form a band of brothers and fight for life and death together. In times of crisis, Zheng Dayong and Wang Jiangyi generously completed the final mission. Gu Xiaoyu, who is in her early 20s, is a health worker of the Southward Detachment of the New Fourth Army. She is beautiful, kind, reserved, easy-going by nature, but soft on the outside and strong on the inside. She was ordered to go on the march with Zheng Dayong's company and became an army health worker. After rescuing Robert, she took on the important task of taking care of him. Facing Robert's bold pursuit and confession, she was grateful, but the person she really liked in her heart was Zheng Dayong. The special environment almost made it impossible for her to have love. At the last moment, she was pushed onto the plane, but watched as Zheng Dayong fell under gunfire...
